How to put fear aside and show up anyway in your business marketing 🌱

This season of growth, in early 2025, is proving to be a challenging on for so many people out there.

I myself have been affected by the current state of things in the U.S. and I know it has got a lot of people feeling stressed, angry, and in fear.

In response, I wanted to take a moment to encourage you. No matter where you are in your business journey, no matter what challenges you are currently facing, you CAN (and will) succeed.

Experiencing and letting fear slip by.

Fear will always be there.

It's hanging out, hoping to trip you up and stop you in your tracks.

No matter what the fear is, I can nearly assure you that you're not alone in your experiences.

Experiencing fear and having the ability to let it slip by is truly a superpower, and is your best way to move into your next big breakthrough. ⚔️

Speaking to some business owners recently I've heard fear, in all different forms, peaking and causing chaos in their marketing.

Holding on, instead of letting go, can look like:

  • If I just make this offer perfect, it's going to do great.

  • I can't put it out yet, I don't think I'm ready.

  • I'm still a newbie, I shouldn't be sharing this yet until I have more accreditation.

What happens when we hold onto fear? We don't have our hands free to catch the goodness waiting when we show up!

A sign in a door window reads, "Yes, We're Open" with five stars underneath.
Use marketing to tell the world, "Yes, We're Open!"

3 Ways to practice showing up anyway.

Showing up in your marketing starts at the core, you.

Use these 3 practices to help step beyond and start creating change in your marketing:

  1. Download your immediate needs each week. Pick a day of the week that you use the most as a 'reset' day, take 10 minutes to reflect on what's happening in your business right now and brain dump the big needs that are to happen in the week to come.

  2. Download your big move needs each month. Make a date with yourself each month, on one of your weekly 'reset' days, and take 20 minutes to reflect on what you have happening the next month for your business (and life) and brain dump the most important moves and to-dos you have in the coming month. This will help you check in each week to keep your big moves in line with your immediate needs.

  3. Make space for exploration and play. Marketing is about trying and seeing what works so you can keep on doing it! Challenge yourself to take 1 hour each week to fulfill your needs, explore new ways to reach your audience, build and create new content, or set up an email to your audience.

Your future successes are calling.

If you've been holding out in your business, playing it small, or not taking up much space in the world I hope a quote from Dale Carnegie, the author of bestselling book "How to Win Friends and Influence People", inspires you as it does me:

“Inaction breeds doubt and fear. Action breeds confidence and courage. If you want to conquer fear, do not sit home and think about it. Go out and get busy.” –Dale Carnegie

It's not about being perfect in what you do, but about the act of showing up anyway... trying anyway... putting up that content, sending that email, creating a plan to make it all a bit easier.

Feeling called to take action? I'm always here for you, request a 1:1 call to discuss your business with me for more.

With joy, Christie

P.S. Never forget that you're the expert of your business! Don't let the noise of the world get you down or derail your vision for stress-free success.
